My heart truly goes out to you both - Henry was so lucky to have found two loving people such as yourselves to take care of him. He was at last able to experience what love and security felt like, there is no greater gift that you could have given him than that.

I experienced the rescue of a dog too (Holly), when this happens a magical bond is formed between you both and nothing will ever break that. It's not fair that Henry's time was so short with you he deserved more than that, you all did but your memories will last a lifetime.

He may be sleeping but thanks to you both he sleeps as a loved, secure, comfortable and happy little boy. Sarah X

What a wonderful story of giving a beautiful friend a second chance at life. I'm sure he made up for his misery in the short 8 months you gave him. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. And maybe one day, you will see Henry in the spirit of another companion. I'm sure Henry is still beside you and always will be. You did a wonderful, generous thing for a soul in need of love!

I'm sure that Henry will look down on you from Rainbow Bridge and give you all his love, he had the best few months of his life with you and you gave him so much happiness and joy.

I now know about rescue dogs I have one who only knew kickings and beatings and would scream when ever you raised your hand, but now he knows that not every one is going to do bad things to him. I thank you for the life you gave Henry as does he.

Go and get a rescue dog who can have some of that life and love you gave Henry, god knows there are hundreds who need it, be strong for him, he loved you then amd still does, if you keep him in your hearts he will live for ever,
