The beginning stage.
Sarah and Tigger's Story so far
We rescued Tigger along with a few other kittens that belonged to a stray in the neighborhood who disappeared. When we found him he was only about 4 or 5 inches, we bottle fed him, and cared for him and while the others found homes, he had already made his home with us. When he grew a little more, he jumped everywhere from room to room, so we named him after Tigger from Whinnie the Pooh.
Everyone that has ever come into contact with Tigger even if they dislike cats, has liked him, he had a sweet nature, and loved you no matter what. He had the loudest purr, and the biggest appetite, and was the best hunter out of our other 3 cats, he took our last addition in when we found her in a parking lot. He's been her buddy since. I dont know how she'll be without him.
Around the end of August we noticed eye problems, we took him to the vet and he said it was a benign tumor. Weeks later he was blind in one eye, we were given eye drops to keep it from swelling. Months later the other eye started going, filling with blood splotches, some time at the end of January he pretty much went blind, wasn't eating, hardly left the bed, lost fat and muscle, he was skin and bones.
We knew it wasn't fair to let him suffer, so we called the vet and told him our choice. When he's down I plan on taking a print of his paw. This is the third pet I've lost in 7 years. None were easy, especially my dog, and Tigger is just as heart breaking. :'(
