I'm sorry for your loss. This past Saturday we had to let our Sugar go. She was a beautiful Boston Terrier with big brown eyes. She came back from her first cancer surgery as good as new, but it came back a month later. I was with her at the end, stroking her; telling her how much we loved her, and what a good girl she was. She was all that was best in the world. Beautiful, brave, kind, loving. I don't think she wanted to go. But I think she knew something terrible was destroying her body. And I think she didn't want to be a burden to us. I'd give anything to have her back. I felt so inadequate. I hope someday I'll understand why God let this happen. Sugar's loss has left a huge hole in my heart. She was a good soul, and we'll love her forever.
