Diana Thank you so much for your comments about my special girl Starr. I am so sorry about your loss as you say no matter how long we have our best friends it is never long enough. I miss Starr so much we now have a puppy Willow she is also a golden labrador and as much as I love her she does not replace Starr. Your note really helped me just to know I was not alone and other people feel the same about their pets.
Thank you again Margaret.
Golden girl by: Diana
Margaret,
I am so sorry for your loss, and I totally understand what you are going through. It seems no matter where in the world we live, the pain is the same when we lose our best friends.
We always wish we had more time with them, in fact if love could keep them with us, they would be with us forever. I lost my doberman Leya after 12 years, and even then I wanted more time with her. I felt like I would give my life for just one more day together. Our special girls filled up such a big part of our lives, and life seems just so empty when they are gone. But I pray they haven't gone far from us, and that they can still feel our love for them.
So many stories are so sad, but mixed with the obvious grief you have for your loss, was just such joyful memories and such thankfulness for the time you did have with your golden girl. Keep holding on to those memories until you hold her again some day.
