Simba the Forever Loved
Simba,
I write this for everyone who takes the time to read about our amazing adventure together. It all started when I finally convinced Mom to get me a cat. Purchased from Noah's Arch in Macon Georgia, Mom brought you home on a mid December night in 1999. To my surprise it was a little fuzzy white cat with beautiful blue eyes. My best friend Donald came over and created the perfect name for you. SImba.
You were so amazing from the start. We played chase up and down the stairs and you became my best bud the second I put my eyes on you. I was 19, and it was time to move out. We moved in with my boyfriend at the time, Austin. You never really liked him, and I quickly learned why. He was very bad for me. After this, you and I set foot on a huge adventure across the United States. We were moving to Vegas. Me, you, and all that would fit in my 300Z made the journey.
You were such a good boy and you layed on my lap the whole time, but I swear you lost one of your nine lives on that trip. It wasn't your favorite. Remember the girls we moved in with and those crazy dogs you hated?? Within three weeks we were out of there and moving into our own apartment. We had some good times in that apartment. You hated all the boyfriends I had. I think you just wanted me all to yourself. My selfish kitty. There was only one man that you actually ended up liking, and he became my hubby. You picked a good one SImba.
Next, we packed up from Vegas and you and I came to California, your final destination in life. Me and the hubby decided to get another cat for his children and you hated him. I want to apologize for bringing this other kitty into our life. I think he may have brought something home from the vet that made you very sick. I'm sorry. I really regret this. However, we had a solid 10 years together babyboy and I want you to know how much I love you.
I know you felt me say goodbye after you passed away. I couldn't leave the vet without seeing you in peace and not in pain. I learned about the place where pets go after they die. It sounds like the perfect waiting place until I come meet you. Don't stop waiting, I'll be there when God says so. I love you.
Yours Truly, The Hand That Fed
