I've had two pieces of rose quartz that sat paired together for about a decade. Yesterday I buried Monty on the side of the house with one of those pieces, a piece of orgonite, and some grapes. I made a promise to Monty that he would not die alone, and I kept that promise. He spent his last day cradled in my arms. When I slept he slept on my chest, and as his breath slipped away, he lay there looking into my eyes as I gently caressed him and said goodbye. I know he left knowing he was loved, and he did not pass alone.
