Please know you are not alone in the devastation you no doubt feel over losing Mollie/Peanut. She was, indeed, a lovely dog and I'm sure her love and friendship are things you'll miss to some degree for the rest of your life on Earth.
In writing this tribute, you not only memorialize her, you also celebrate her life. As your heart begins to heal, you can ask Mollie herself to be on the lookout for the next perfect-for-you animal companion. (I am NOT suggesting you rush this in any way!) But when you know the time is right, asking for her help will eliminate any feelings that you're betraying her by moving on. In fact, you honor her by accepting yet another gift from her AND you show you were paying attention and learning from her all the lessons in unconditional love and living life in the moment she'd taught you when she was alive by opening your heart and home to another needful animal.
In the meantime, be gentle with yourself, cry when you need to, smile at her memory when you can, and look forward in hope.
Best,
