Is there such a thing as Love At First Sight? The first time I saw Meggs there was - and I just knew we were meant for each other.
Why the name Meggs. Well he was a ginger cat and thought it appropriate to name him after the famous Australian Cartoon Character, Ginger Meggs. The Vet who I bought him from told me that ginger cats were the most affectionate. Sales dribble I thought at the time but how right he turned out to be.
As far as cats are concerned could not have got a more loving, loyal, faithful and georgeous cat as Mr Meggs.
I cannot think of any time over the last ten years that he was not part of my life. A real character with more personality than his humble owner.
I shall cry and grieve for you my little mate because you have left little paw prints on my heart - and that's where they will stay.
I thank you for being in my life and I would like to think I am a better person because of the love I had for a ginger cat.
I found a wonderful poem on the internet which I think says it all as far as Meggs is concerned and I dedicate it to you.
