When I was in 6th grade, I really wanted a lizard. When I was younger I had a Bearded Dragon named Spike. He died from eating a firefly, so now I wanted another Bearded Dragon and be more responsible with it. I was surprised with a Bearded Dragon and named him Tobi, with an i. I was up all night, watching him in his cage. It was great! My parents told me he was 1 years old.
As the years passed, Tobi got bigger. I still took really good care of him. I took him out every day and let him run around. He loved to climb on my shoulder and make everyone laugh. Sometimes he would fall asleep on me too. We fed him vegetables and crickets. It was a good diet for a lizard. Everything was great!
It was my sophomore year now and Tobi started to slow down. He wasn't as active as he used to be. In the last few weeks of his life, he slept a lot and missed his meals. My grandma passed away a few days before him and I was still getting over it. On his last night on Earth, he didn't move too much. I was afraid he was cold because it was November in Wisconsin, so I put him on his heat rock. I was worried on the inside and I went downstairs to watch some T.V. When I came back into my room, Tobi already passed away. He layed still on his rock. My stomach dropped. I called my parents up and we buried him in our garden.
It was very hard to recover from that and to this day, I still miss my friend. But now he is with my Grandma, watching over me. I miss him every day, but I know he is in a better place now and someday I will be with him again.
Rest in Peace my little baby~
