Three years ago, I adopted Lacie from Lucky Labs Rescue and Adoption, based in Indianna. Two years ago, I adopted Emma from the same org. My fiance and I were so happy to have given both girls a loving home, both were black labs. Our two girls became fast friends and inseparable! Life was normal, and they became a huge part of our lives, and we, theirs.
On Feb 8, 2012 while at work, I got a frantic phone call from my neighbor, Laurie, across the street, get home, she was crying. I bolted out of work with the news that our house was on fire and it was bad and to "prepare myself". Not only did we lose our home, we lost our 2 beloved dogs.
I am having a tough time dealing with their loss, I miss them so very much, we all do. It's a roller coaster of emotions, I can't comprehend the fact that I was not there to save them. Such great girls, full of love, full of fun, full of life gone in in a moment.
Lacie and Emma, Mommy and Daddy love and miss you. We crated you both during the day because you would destroy the house, but the house destroyed you. I am so sorry my babeeeees. Hugs, lots of belly rubs from us left here, to you in Heaven where I know you are both ok now.
Love, Mom and Dad :(((
