Miss Molly - the love of my life
I got Molly after my dad died in 2000. She helped me through this time and listened to me cry my many tears. She barked at me in the shop window and that was it. Little did I know that I would love that tiny white and black ball of fluff with all my heart. She was a total life changer..
I then got sick in 2008 and leukaemia and she nursed me through all my complications, staying by my side all the time.. She has been my rock, my best friend and the lover of my life. I haven't needed anyone else while I had Miss Molly to come home to.
Last year we moved house and two days later she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. We fought a good battle for 7 months and then it mutated into Leukaemia as well and the vets said that we were out of options. I was there holding her head when she went to sleep and I am totally devastated.
I feel happy that I had an extra 7 months but it wasn't enough. I tried to prepare for this time of my life but I couldn't prepare either. I love her so much that it hurts. I don't want this pain to go away as I don't want to stop loving her. She was the love of my life and I am so happy that we got to spend that time together.
I now see that we were blessed to be so lucky together for so long...
