'Snoball I Should Have Kept You Home Where You Belong'
by Martha Doss
(Chicago, IL, USA)
Oh! Snoball I miss you so.
On our way to the vet,
You did not want to go.
I should have listened to your purr, shut the door, and kept
you home where you belong.
Oh! Snoball you were breathing rapidly,
The cancer invaded your lungs,
I was hoping that the vet could have made you better,
I was wrong. I should have shut the door,
and kept you home where you belong.
Oh! Snoball, If I could have caught the plague of breast cancer in time,
You would be home now where you belong.
I have your ashes, your pictures, and your memories,
You are home now Snoball where you belong.
