It's been years since I lost my Kiwi. In reading your poem I can still feel that pain. It's a pain you and I share with many others. A friend of mine lost his Rupert yesterday. He's pretty broken up right now. It's difficult to know what to say, but I think in sharing our pain there is some relief in knowing we are not alone.
