I am so sorry for you loss. I too, suffered a terrible loss this past February, my 19 year female cat, her name was Tish.
I have had the pleasure of some contact since she passed. It is so important to pay attention to even the little things, don't overlook anything.
My family and myself talked about our cat that loved to sit inside empty pop/soda cases. We talked about that the day of her passing, amongst other things.
The very next day, something told me to look at some pictures that had been on my nightstand for months. The first picture on the top was of my sweet baby girl Tish, sitting inside an empty cardboard pop case.
I know it was a message from her, telling me that she had made it to the other side and was ok. It was a very big comfort to me. I still hear her sometimes, different unique noises she used to make.
