My Dear Charlie,

It's been 3 weeks since I wrote you, although you've been on my mind and in my heart every moment of the day and night.

You saw us, Charlie, how we are now dragging ourselves around, not like when you were here, you always made everything and everyone so merry and healthy, made our footsteps so happy and light with your golden presence. Then, you convinced Leya to rescue me by writing to Leya's Mom--ever so thoughtful and protective! I am so proud of you two, only if I could just feel you even for a minute...

Every inch of your beloved yard seems to be missing you terribly also, because it no longer shines without your golden steps. I used to call it a Paradise for you guys, but no more. I only manage to cry, because I so miss my precious boy.
