Real Life Rainbow Bridge Stories

'A Visit From My Babies?'

by Terri
(Tyldesley UK)

This is a tragic tale of my two young cats who both died in identical circumstances but 5 months apart. Both were found dead in the grounds of a local school only 25 metres from home. Phoebe died in November and then we adopted Charlie as Phoebe's brother seemed so lonely without her.

Charlie was found dead a week ago. Four days after Charlies death, I went into the back garden to get the watering can and stopped in my tracks as I saw 2 fully inflated yet 'baby' sized balloons bobbing up and down in the breeze right by my shed where the babies loved to play. One balloon was green and the other purple. Both were covered in tiny white stars and tied together with White ribbon.

I just stood rooted to the spot and immediately felt that my two kitties were trying to tell me that they are safe and TOGETHER (they had never met as one had replaced the other, however I knew they had found each other and were looking out for one another, safe and happy. I wonder if balloons signify anything specific? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I would love to know.

A Visit From My Babies?
by: Colleen Cummings

Hi Terri-I think your babies were communicating with you, wanting you to know they are ok, eating, sleeping, playing, safe. I think all of our companion animals are waiting on the other side to greet us when it's our time to leave this earth. In the meantime, they are safe and content, patiently awaiting our arrival. I'm so sorry that you had to lose two wonderful cats so untimely.

How touching. No not the balloon part but I had something similar when Baxter passed. I had to put Baxter's sister Leesa to sleep 6 years ago. (She was close to 15, blind and the arthritis became too much)

The last thing I said to Baxter when the vet let me have time with him was "I know you will be at the bridge with your sister, waiting for me." The next day I found a picture of Baxter and Leesa laying side by side. It was like he was saying, yes mom we're here.

That was the only picture I ever had of them together. I don't think there are any coincidences.
